Mobile Broadband Comparison
People starting talking the topic about which broadband will provide more better services in terms of performance. Let's have a deep look inside where we do some research about Mobile Broadband in Malaysia.
As everyone knows, we have quite numbers of ISPs which providing Mobile Wireless Broadband in Malaysia and those are Maxis Broadband, DiGi Broadband, Celcom Broadband, P1 WiMax and Yes4G. In between all of these Mobile Broadband, we'll take a closer look on each of them.
As we knows Maxis SDN BHD is the first company which gain the very first license of 3G network, but still it provide some bad quality of services. It provides high speed but the response rate of overall is moderate.
Secondly, Celcom Broadband achieves better response rate than Maxis but it is slower than Maxis Broadband in maximum capacity of network. It carries up to 1Mbps most of the time while Maxis Broadband carries around 1.5Mbps mostly the time. During night time it's more even worse since some website will cause loading slowly.
DiGi Broadband which quote as "Better speed for less" really gives a good response rate on video streaming or loading a website but the problem comes to frequent disconnection and low coverage. DiGi Broadband mostly gives a good connectivity only when you are at a good position to get full coverage of their 3G HSDPA coverage.
Packet One WiMax faces the same problem as Maxis Broadband and Celcom Broadband facing which is consistency of network. Frequent disconnection or long connecting time occurs to the P1 WiMax modem which wanted to compete one on one to TM Net Streamyx. For some reason, Maxis and Celcom Broadband facing the consistency problem and it's alright but not P1 WiMax. It cost higher than other mobile broadband and it must provide at least better quality services.
As for Yes 4G as I mention in the previous post, if you able to pay for the fees and looking for better speed, this is the mobile broadband you are looking for. It gives good consistency and high speed which may up to 4Mbps.
In overall, Yes 4G wins in terms of speed and if you are looking for a cost worthy mobile broadband, try out the broadband with the quote "Better speed for less" which really gives a reasonable speed with reasonable price.
